Full Face Featuring Only Rimmel Cosmetics

Hey friends!

If y’all have been following along, then you know I’m a huge drugstore makeup fan! I love my high-end products too, but this momma likes to save money by finding some products that work just as well at a fraction of the cost. Enter Rimmel Cosmetics, a drugstore brand with some seriously uhh-mazing products! I already had quite the collection that I purchased myself, but Rimmel was kind enough to send me some products to test out also – so here are a couple looks using some of my favorite Rimmel products!

Thank you to Rimmel for sponsoring this post by gifting me many of the items to try. The others were purchased myself. This post contains affiliate links below. Please read my full disclosure policy for further information.

I have created two separate looks below and listed out all of the products used! One is more subdued and great for everyday, and the other is a tad more glammed up for an evening or transitional look.

LOOK 1: Light contouring, transitional shadow colors (great for day to night), thicker liner, matte lips

Products used:

BB Cream: Rimmel Match Perfection BB Cream Foundation in shade “Light”- I really like BB creams. They give you a little bit of coverage like a foundation, but they keep you hydrated and feel lighter. This formula is exceptionally creamy and covers pretty well. It has an SPF of 25 which is fabulous for sun protection! I absolutely love that – you have to keep your skin protected! This stuff blends great with a beauty blender.

Concealer: Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer and Highlighter – This concealer has a brush tip on it and really does have wonderful coverage! I feel that it dries very quickly so you have to blend quickly. I don’t personally love it under my eyes. It feels a little thick there for me, but it works GREAT on blemishes. I would recommend getting a lighter shade than you usually get though – it dries down very dark.

Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in “Translucent”- Everyone raves about this stuff. And it’s for a reason. This stuff is fab. It’s cheap and effective. I have combination skin nowadays, so definitely some oily patches amist the rest of my dry skin. This stuff really keeps the shine at bay and doesn’t flake the rest of my face. I am personally a big fan of loose powder, but this stuff sets your makeup great and is better for travel (loose powder is a disaster in that case). Great stuff!

Brows: Rimmel Brow This Way Sculpting Kit in “Medium Brown”- I love this little brow kit. I was skeptical at first because it’s SO cheap. It’s under $5! It has a stiff little angled brush in it, but honestly, the whole kit works great! It has a creamy side that I use with the angled brush to slowly apply with and then I go back in with the powder side to fill in for touch-ups. It’s so easy to use and I end up reaching for this more often than my pencils lately because it’s just faster and still gives me a more precise look if I want it! I actually bought a backup because I go through brow products so quickly and this stuff works great!

Eyeshadow: Rimmel Magnifyeyes Eye Palette in “Keep Calm and Wear Gold”- This palette is very versatile. The darker colors (I used in look 1) are very pigmented and blend surprisingly well. I felt that the lighter shades were not as pigmented, but here’s a little tip: Take your eyeshadow brush, lightly mist it with a setting spray and then dip it in the shadow. Apply to lids while damp and it dries darker. I did this trick with the lighter sparkly shade and it was so gorgeous on (in look 2) and it looks like a metallic rosegold finish!

Closer look of the eyes from Look 1

Eyeliner: Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick/Thin Eye Liner – I must admit, I’m not a huge eyeliner fan for everyday, but definitely want it sometimes. This liner is seriously amazing. It has a wider tip and is PERFECT if you’re doing winged liner. It’s also perfect for just applying a thicker liner look. It feels like a felt tip market and goes on smooth and easily. One of my new favorite products!

Mascara: Rimmel Super Curler Mascara – This one is pretty new to me. I must say I don’t love it as much as the Scandaleyes, but it’s pretty good for a drugstore mascara also! I love the curved brush and it definitely gives a more defined look of curled lashes for me. Good stuff! I like to layer this one as a finishing touch over other mascaras too!

Blush/Highlighter/Contour: Rimmel Kate Face Sculpting Kit – I LOVE these. I have two of them. I used the color “Coral Glow” for look 1 and “Golden Sands” for look 2. It’s basically a blush, contour and highlighter all in one. I love the blush shades and they are nice and pigmented. The contour colors blend well also and aren’t too overpowering. The highlighter isn’t my favorite, but it gets the job done – it’s just pretty subtle. But I love that all three of these items are inside one little compact and it’s so easy and convenient to have them all together.

Lip Liner: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lip Liner – I had never heard of a transparent lip liner before! But I love the idea because I don’t necessarily want a defined look of liner – I just want something to help my lips feel more hydrated to to keep colors from bleeding and to keep the lipstick on longer. This stuff does exactly that! Pretty cool.

Lipstick: Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipstick in “Salute”- It was hard for me to find a good matte lipstick from the drugstore that was truly matte. This is about as matte as it gets. As with any other matte lipstick, I do suggest exfoliating your lips before you apply it. But I love this color and it’s a good one to keep in my purse for everyday wear. It does have a bit of a candy sweet smell – not sure why, but I notice it every time I open it!

LOOK 2: Everyday look with a hint of shimmer on the lids, soft contouring, thin liner, layered lips

Wondering which Rimmel Cosmetics to try out? This post features the best of Rimmel and showcases different looks featuring only Rimmel Cosmetics. The entire face of Rimmel products was under $50! Check out this review on the Stay Matte foundation and powder, Match Perfection concealer, brow this way palette, magnifeyes eyeshadows, scandaleyes mascara, stay matter lipstick, fix and perfect primer, face sculpting kit and more.

Products used:

Primer: Rimmel Fix And Perfect Pro Foundation Primer – This primer feels more like a lotion than a silicone-based formula. It goes on nice and light and smooth and blends effortlessly. It definitely helped smooth out my face which definitely currently has some rough patches, redness and a little bit of acne.

Foundation: Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in “Ivory”- This is a foundation that I’ve owned for awhile. I absolutely love the consistency of this stuff and it’s unlike any other foundation that I’ve tried because it has the consistency of a thick mousse. I love the way it blends with both a brush and a blender and the coverage is fab – I always need minimal concealer when I wear it!

Here is a before and after with this look – you can see I have dark undereye circles, some very prominent freckles, a few pimples and some redness from scarring. This foundation really has awesome coverage – check out the after pic! There is no photoshop magic here folks! Just the magic of this formula!

Before makeup
This look is using the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - it has a unique mousse formula and goes on smooth, feels light and has wonderful coverage!
After using Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

Mascara: Rimmel Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara – I CANNOT rave about this mascara more! If you follow me on Instagram, you’re probably already tired of me talking about it. I’ve had this stuff for awhile and I bought it on sale for under $5! I didn’t expect much. Boy, was I wrong! This stuff rivals some of the higher end mascaras that I have tried! It makes my lashes look longer, fuller and thicker! It’s amazing and I think everyone should have it! It’s a must buy. Getcha some!

Lipstick: Rimmel Kate Lipstick Nude shade 42 – I love this lipstick so much. It’s a great shade of nude and looks amazing alone or layered with darker colors. I keep it on hand most of the time. It’s not super long lasting, but I’m okay with that. For the price of this product, it’s especially great.

Lipstick 2: (I layered this with the one above for this look) Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Paradise – This lipstick is one of my staples lately. It’s on the darker side, but it has a nice tone to it and I feel it would look good on many skin tones. It does have a hint of a sweet smell to it, but it doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t last forever, but it certainly lasts longer on me than most drugstore formulas. I just love the price tag on this and how versatile the color options are. Win!

Eyeliner: Rimmel Scandaleyes Micro Eye Liner – I love love love this liner also. It’s got the thinnest tip and draws easily like a pen or marker. I love how precise you can be with it and create the thinnest line possible. It’s also wonderful for perfecting your liner after you apply false lashes and is easy to maneuver around them.

Note: I used the same eyeshadow and brow palette for this look as I did in look 1. See above.

How do you like the looks? Besides the versatility of these products, you can buy your complete face of makeup for under $50! How amazing is that? That won’t often buy you ONE product at Sephora in the higher end lines. I love my high-end stuff too, but $50?! Let’s get practical here. It’s nice to know there are some great, dependable products out there that work just as well for much less.
