This diaper bag is for you, too, dads!
I don’t know about you, but things have been busy with plans revolving around Christmas already! We’ve been shopping, decorating and planning family events. I get so wrapped up in the holidays that I forget my little man’s birthday is soon after! Yikes! I’m gonna have to get into party planning mode soon! I cannot believe he will be two in January. That little dude is getting big – and heavy! One thing I seriously cannot stand is carrying a huge diaper bag around all the time when I have to tote him, too!

Anyone else feel like their diaper bag is such a chore? I throw the big bulky thing over my shoulder and hold Ryan up on my opposite hip. The next thing I know, I’m leaning every which way to accommodate my heavy boy and the diaper bag slipping off my shoulder. Annoying! And not good for my posture at all.
My diaper bag started falling apart, so I was due to get a new one anyways. It was perfect timing – that’s when I learned about the company Laguna Tide! I was lucky enough to be gifted the Laguna Tide Travel Diaper Bag Backpack in return for an honest review. Keep reading – there’s a surprise for you at the end!
This diaper bag seriously is a great fit for me. For starters, the lightweight bag is a backpack, not a shoulder bag. Sure, I can throw it over one shoulder, but the fact that I can wear it on both and distribute the weight evenly while staying hand-free is a game-changer for me. I don’t know why I didn’t think of a backbag for a diaper bag! I seriously love it. I’m going to highlight all my favorite points on this bag!
Love the neutral look. Have you noticed that diaper bags look like they were made to fit in a nursery? Here’s the thing. They aren’t. They’re out in public everywhere you are. I don’t want a bag covered in clowns or animals or primary colors. I want one that’ll look good with everything I’m wearing! Grey is pretty much my fave. So this is a no-brainer for me.
Hubby loves it too. Back to point #1 – if I don’t want a flowery bag, then you KNOW hubby doesn’t. Any man would surely appreciate a man-friendly bag. This one is just that without being overly masculine. We both win.
It’s waterproof! I know what you’re thinking. ‘Well, can’t I just use any old backpack?’ Yeah, you could. But waterproof is where it’s at! Ryan already spilled juice down the bag one day and I simply wiped it off quick and it was dry as a bone. No stain. Easy peasy.
Insulated pockets. There happens to be three inner insulated pockets that are great for bottles! Ryan has long been out of the bottle stage, but Ryan drinks a TON of liquids. This means we always have to have his cup within arm’s reach. This is why the outside insulated pocket is my favorite feature – I’m never wondering where his cup is and it stays cold!
Comfort and versatility. Besides the fact that it distributes the weight evenly, it also has a handy clip for added security and support and padded adjustable straps! To be honest, this would be an amazing bag to take hiking or on a trip! That’s why I know I’ll use it long after Ryan’s out of diapers!
Stroller convenience. The bag comes with handy stroller attachment straps already attached and they featured easy clasp removal. It’s great for hanging on the stroller for shopping trips when you need the under stroller area to be open for all your shopping bags!
The extras. This handy bag also comes with its own changing pad and separate insulated bottle sleeve bag. These are both super handy to have at all times!
Organization. One of my fave things about this bag are the compartments. It’s separated very nicely and in a smart manner. The bag does have a large main compartment, but there is a great inner zip baby wipes holder area which is so handy. I also love that the outside of the bag has a Velcro flap pocket on the front for snacks, my keys, anything I may need quickly. It fits all of my baby essentials effortlessly.
Plenty of room. This bag holds everything I need for Ryan effortlessly. I try not to pack it full, but on days where he has day care, I have to pack extra stuff including a crib sheet and a fluffy blanket. I could not fit this stuff in our old bag. It fits into this bag with room to spare!
Honestly, I can’t love this bag more. It truly fits my on-the-go lifestyle, keeps me in comfort and as organized as I can be. I love the look of it and how versatile it is. I think it would also make an amazing gift for a new parent, a seasoned parent, a busy parent or one who travels often! You can shop for the Laguna Tide Travel Diaper Bag Backpack right here.
