Tori Belle Magnetic Liner & Lashes

Hey ladies! I’ve been blogging for a few years now, and I often get requests from you guys to review products. Well, magnetic liner & lashes have been requested for quite some time now, so I’m FINALLY reviewing some and giving you my thoughts! I can’t wait for you guys to read on to see what you think!

Okay, listen. I’m not gonna lie. I tried out some magnetic lashes last year and did NOT post about them. Why? Because I didn’t like them! And you guys know I only post about the things I truly love and use. So I said NOPE and then I assumed I’d never like them or try them again. Until now.

My lovely friend Amanda sells a brand called Tori Belle. When she first told me about their magnetic lashes, I was pumped – ONLY because these were so different than the magnetic lashes I had tried last year. The ones that shall not be named that I tried were basically a set of lashes that laid on top of your natural lashes, then you took a second set under your natural lashes and basically had to sandwich them together. This was AWFUL. It felt like I was being jabbed in the eye and it looked so bulky and weird. I could not get them off fast enough, but that was an issue too. I couldn’t get them off. It was a terrifying two minutes that I’ll never forget. Thank God there have been better products since then.

Tori Belle Cosmetics is much more than just lashes, but that’s the focus for today. Just to be transparent, I do NOT sell these products; however, Amanda gifted me a pair to try out in return for my very honest opinion. There are several types of lashes that they carry – some are more natural, others super dramatic. Being a more flashy gal, I decided to choose a more glam pair called “Ladies Night”. Check out all the products they offer here. I figured I wouldn’t be able to wear them to work, but they’ll look great in photos, out for date nights, and other events. The coolest thing about these is that you can wear them dozens of times as long as you take care of them! How awesome is that?!

Alrighty. So what’s the hype you say? We all know how much a pain in the you know what it is to apply lash glue and make a mess of our faces. It takes time and a lot of fuss, and often, a mess. NO FUN. Tori Belle’s magnetic lashes are actually FUN to put on! All you have to do is apply a few swipes of Magnetude Eyeliner (which has the magnetic particles in it), and then line up your lashes and throw them on. That’s it!

The liners come in a few different colors, but I opted for black because it’s classic. The brush is very thin, which is nice because you have full control of how thick you want it, but keep it mind, you’ll want a bit of a thicker line to make sure that the magnets are the same width. A few things to note here: 1 – You will want to apply 2 coats of the liner to make sure that you’ll have a strong hold. 2 – You MUST allow time for the liner to dry before you apply the lashes. It is recommended that you wait a full 2 minutes before applying the lashes, just to be SURE the liner is dry.

Once you have the liner all set, it’s time to apply! You can grab some tweezers to help guide easily or simply use your fingers to gently pull the lashes from the box. Then, line up the lashes, hovering over the area you’d like for placement, and simply sit them in place! The magnets will do their magic and stay in place- it’s so amazing how it works! And the best part is, if you need to adjust them, gently tug and re-place them where you’d like them – it’s super easy.

That’s it! It’s as simple as that. You’re probably wondering, do the lashes lift? Will they stay on all night? They will absolutely last as long as you follow directions. However, if you like the feeling of extra security, then the lashes comes with “anchor” pieces, which are individual magnet piece with a few lash hairs on them–these are for you to apply in case you want extra security. I like to add one to both the inner and outer corners just so that there’s no lift at all.

To apply the anchors, I simply grab one with my tweezers and hover closely under my lashes to the outermost corner, then it grabs the magnet immediately. The “sandwich” effect is comfortable and easy, and NOTHING like the nightmare I experience from the other brand that I tried last year. These are simple to remove also, no work involved! I gently grab with my tweezers and that’s it.

How do you keep the lashes clean? It’s SO easy. There’s no special product needed. You simply use your fingernail to scrape off any buildup on the little magnets themselves. That’s it! It only takes a few seconds, but it’s vital that you do this so that they will stick for you next time you wear them.

Another thing you might be wondering… how hard is the liner to take off? I was nervous about this because it’s clearly strong enough to hold lashes, so I had no clue. But it was 100% painless! I used my regular old drugstore-bought micellar water that I use every day and had ZERO issues with the removal. It was fabulous!

I must say, I can’t imagine going back to lashes with glue now. There’s no way. This is so much easier, and you guys know I’m all about bringing things that take less time into my life.
